A confident Bangladesh will lock horns with India in their second Group B match in the South Asian Football Federation U-18 Championship at APF Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal Monday, starting at 3:15pm, Bangladesh standard time.

Bangladesh, who began their campaign with a resounding 3-0 win over Sri Lanka, beat India 4-3 in their last meeting in the 2017 Saff U-18 Championship.

India however, will take heart from their semi-final win over Bangladesh in the tournament’s 2015 edition where the former prevailed on penalties.

Bangladesh U-18 head coach Peter Turner said they have specific tactical plans against their sub-continent rival.

“Surely this is a big game. We have recovered well after the Sri Lanka match. Worked on some tactical issues ahead of the India game. We have some plans. We are very excited on the eve of our second match,” said Turner.
