1 more dies of dengue at KMCH

According to IEDCR, 104 people have died from dengue across Bangladesh since January

Another patient has died of dengue fever at the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).

The deceased is Shojib Khan, 22, from Putimari of Gopalganj, died while undergoing treatment around 6:30pm on Tuesday.

Resident Physician Dr Shailendra Nath Biswas confirmed the matter and said: “The patient was admitted to the hospital in critical condition around 12:30pm and he was tested positive for dengue virus. 

“Later, in the day he died while he was under treatment.”

According to Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), 104 people have died from dengue across Bangladesh since January.

IEDCR said a total of 166 cases out of 248 reported. However, the unofficial death toll is suspected to be over 180, so far.
