Two people were killed in separate road accidents in two districts while 17 others were injured.
The incidents occurred on Saturday.
A school student has died in a road accident in Bhola.
The deceased was identified as Md Sharif, son of Md Kashem from Guccha village, of Lalmohan municipality.
The incident occurred around 8:30am on Saturday.
Locals said Sharif was crushed under a bus, while going home from Lalmohan bazaar on his bicycle, He died on the spot. Later, locals brought out a procession to demand justice for the victim.
Lalmohan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Khairul Kabir confirmed the matter, saying his dead body had been recovered from the scene.
A case has been filed in this regard.
In Chittagong, a passenger died, and 17 others were injured, when a bus of Saudia Paribahan lost control over the steering and plunged into a roadside paddy field.
The deceased was identified as Shamsul Alam, 55, a resident of Satkania upazila in Chittagong.
The accident took place around 12:30pm on Saturday at Indropool area of Patiya Bypass road, under Patiya upazila in Chittagong.
Inspector Bimal Bhowmikm, In-Charge of Patiya Outpost of Highway Police, told the Dhaka Tribune that the Chittagong-bound bus lost control over the steering in order to save a pedestrian, and subsequently plunged into a roadside paddy field.
Shamsul Alam died on the spot while the injured received treatment in several local hospitals.
