Holidaymakers, travelling to the north and northwest of Bangladesh ahead of Eid, have blocked roads and burned tyres at several places on Dhaka-Tangail highway, protesting long tailbacks.
Thousands of passengers have been suffering immensely due to chronic traffic congestion, especially on Dhaka-Tangail and Dhaka-Manikganj highways, since the Eid journey began on August 9.
