At least 10 workers were injured when debris, including bamboos, from an under construction building at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP) project in Pabna, collapsed on them on Tuesday night.
The accident occurred near unit 2 in the project area at around 8:30pm, said Ishwardi police station Officer-In-Charge, Bahauddin Faruqui.
The injured--Firoz Hossain, 22, Rakib Uddin, 44, Abu Bakkar, 28, Raisuddin, 32, Habibur Rahman, 46, Mehdi Hasan, 30, Asif, 26, Amir Hossain, 35, Alauddin, 33, and Ishaq Ali, 35,-- are being treated at the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex.
Of them, Firoz was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital when his condition deteriorated, said the OC.
It was raining heavily that night, the OC added.
Earlier, a worker at the project died, when a pipe broke and fell on him on May 31.
