More than 17,000 Land Ministry officials submit wealth statements

Due to suspension in departmental cases and long-term vacations, 368 employees, out of the total 17576, could not submit their statements

A total of 17,208 employees of different offices under the Land Ministry have submitted their wealth statements as per the instruction of the land minister.

“Submission of wealth statements will reduce corruption and irregularities. This drive will continue from now on. Regular monitoring will eventually make the land offices corruption-free,” Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury told BSS on Saturday.

Due to suspension in departmental cases and long-term vacations, 368 employees, out of the total 17576, could not submit their statements.

Earlier, on 12 January, the land minister had made an announcement about the wealth statement of the land ministry employees in a meeting with journalists at Chittagong Press Club.
