Election Commissioner M Rafiqul Islam on Thursday said the Election Commission will postpone the upazila polls if any irregularities are reported.
He said: “We will ensure the smooth environment of the fourth phase of upazila polls. No one will be barred. We will ensure that voters can vote for their preferred candidate peacefully.”

Responding to queries, he said all the preparations have been taken by the commission to ensure the upazila parishad polls, slated for March 31.
He also said the elections will be postponed if any question of irregularities found, when he was meeting with presiding officers and polling agents at Brahmanbaria Annada Government High School on Thursday.
