68.91% pass in HSC, equivalent exams

A total of 64.91% students have passed in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations across Bangladesh. The results were published Sunday morning, reports the UNB. Of these, 66.84% passed the HSC examinations while 77.20% came out successful in Madrassah Board and 81.33% in Technical Board examinations. A total of 801,711 examinees came out successful in the examinations in all the 10 education boards of Bangladesh. This year’s result is 5.79% lower than that of last year. Earlier in the day, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with the chairmen of all the education boards handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban around 10:17am. Tapan Kumar Sarker, examination controller at Dhaka Education Board, said the results will be published simultaneously from respective certre or college and online at 1:30pm. Institution-based result sheet has to be downloaded through entry of EIIN of respective educational institution from www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd. Students can also collect their results from www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, result corner of www.educationboard.gov.bd and website of respective education board. The written tests of the yearly public examinations ended on May 15 while practical exams on May 25. A total of 1,183,686 students took the exams this year from ten education boards.
