Both the incidents occurred on Friday
Two people have been killed in separate road accidents across Dhaka.
Abdul Kader, 60, was killed in a road accident in Rampura area of the capital on Friday morning.
In-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Md Bachchu Mia told Dhaka Tribune: "Kader was on his bike when he met with an accident near Rampura bridge Friday morning. Later, Rampura police station officials rescued him and took him to the DMCH emergency department."
Kader died around 11:45am, he added. He was a driver employed by the Supreme Court.
In a separate incident, a pedestrian named Mostak, 60, was killed after being hit by a mini-truck in Dhaka's Jatrabari area.
While crossing the road in front of Jatrabari's Institute of Child and Mother Health hospital, a mini-truck hit Mostak from the back, leaving him in a critical condition, Bachchu Mia said.
"After rescuing Mostak, the locals took him to the DMCH emergency department, where the duty declared him dead," he said.
