“The killers of Nurse Tania won't be spared but the innocent will face no harassment," he added.

“During interrogation, Nuruzzaman mentioned another man at the spot and police are trying to arrest him,” he said.

Doctors found evidence of gang-rape upon autopsy of the nurse on May 8.

Bus driver Nuruzzaman, his assistant Lalan Mia, Rafiqul Islam, Khokon Mia, and Bakul Mia were each put on an eight-day remand.

Tania's father filed the case with Bajitpur police station against five people.

According to the case statement, nurse Tania boarded a Swarnalata Paribahan  bus from Mohakhali bus stand on Monday on her way home.

When the bus reached Ujanpur in Katiadi, all other passengers except Tania got down from the bus by 9:30pm.

The driver and his helper then violated the girl on the moving bus and strangled her with her scarf before throwing the body out of the vehicle in Gazaria near Bajitpur upazila.

Locals spotted her on the road and took her to Katiadi Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared her dead around 10:45pm.
