Members of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested the education officer of the Fatikchhari upazila in Chittagong with Tk10,000 bribe money on Thursday.
The ACC team arrested Ajimel Qadar when he was taking Tk10,000 in bribe from Taslima Akhter, an assistant teacher of a primary school, said Lutful Kabir Chandan, ACC Deputy Director of Chittagong to the Dhaka Tribune.
Lutful Kabir said: "The education officer was taking bribe assuring the primary teacher to arrange her transfer as per her choice.”
A case has been lodged in this regard and the arrested will be produced before the court," said the ACC official.
