Save the Children, Duronto TV sign MoU to promote child rights

Save the Children and Duronto TV have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to build strategic partnership to uphold children's rights. Save the Children Country Director Mark Pierce and Barind Media Ltd (Duronto TV) Managing Director Muhammad Sayeed signed the MoU at the latter’s office in Banani of Dhaka on Sunday. Senior officials of the two organizations were present at the signing ceremony. “I am very delighted to have signed a partnership deal with Duronto. It will provide us with an opportunity to work together in ensuring rights of children in Bangladesh. This partnership will also contribute to achieving our breakthrough for children,” said Mark Pierce. “I hope this partnership will help us contribute more to the child development. We...aim to develop an inclusive program for children with focus on their entertainment opportunities,” said Sayeed. Save the Children is one of the largest child rights organizations working in over 100 countries. Duronto is the first Bangladeshi TV channel dedicated to children issues. The prime objective of this channel is to broadcast programs that are focused on children’s entertainment such as travelling, magic, science and sports.
