Grameenphone signs MoU with NSU, BracU on ‘Internet of Things’

Grameenphone has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with North South University and Brac University to take “Internet of Things” (IoT) a step further. The students of the universities will get the opportunity to become familiar with practical and world-class IoT endeavours of Grameenphone because of the MoU. Quazi Mohammad Shahed, chief human resources officer of Grameenphone; Dr Arshad M Chowdhury, Dean at School of Engineering and Physical Sciences at North South University; and Dr Ansar Ahmed, pro vice-chancellor of Brac University; signed the MoU. The IoT is a network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enable these objects to connect and exchange data to enhance the users’ lifestyle.
