Commemorating the day, the organization had organized various programs in the capital and across the country.
Jubo League was formed on November 11, 1972 through a convention at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh in Dhaka.
The national and the organization flags were hoisted at Jubo League’s central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka at 6:30am.
At 8am, Jubo League leaders and activists paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mural on Dhanmondi Road No 32.
At 9:30am, they paid homage to Jubo League founder Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani and others who were assassinated on August 15, 1975, at the Banani Graveyard.
Bangabandhu’s nephew Mani was among the family members, including Sheikh Mujib, who were killed during the assassination on August 15.
